1. Set A Goal. A goal not written down is only a wish. Write down a realistic goal of how many people you wish to meet, and how many business cards you plan to give and receive.
2. Do not answer with “I’m a Real Estate Agent”. Think outside the box and use a creative answer to “what do you do?”. Try not to use the words home, house, property, and dream for they are used to much. For example, “I help people with the biggest investment of their lives”.
3. 30 second attention span. This is how much time you have to sell yourself. Have a script already in mind. Use emotional hot buttons and clear statements to get to your point quickly and effectively.
 4. Close. Once you have sold them it is time to close them. Have any marketing materials needed for them, or if they have a referal, a way to follow up with them.
 5. The best way to get a referal is to give a referral. Have names and contacts readiluy available to give out to thers that might be in need of other services.
6. Have fun! Happy people attract people, and as a bonus you will be a happier person too. Enjoy life and your job!
