Real Estate Video Walk-Throughs...Worth It?

Okay, I’ve been debating something for the past few weeks now and I’ve decided that the only way to make a decision is to ask you, my valued clients, blog readers, and partners.

You probably already know that over 85% of all real estate searches begin online these days.Â And of those searches, studies suggest that websites or MLS home listings that offer a video walk-through have higher numbers of views AND those that visit the listing or site tend to stay longer.

So, I’ve debated the last few weeks as to how best to utilize this to help market my client’s home listings here in the Rock Hill SC and Fort Mill SC area.Â What I’d like to know from you is do you think having a video walk-through is helpful?Â Do you look at listings online longer if there’s a nice video walk-through that accompanies all the home’s specifics and standard pictures?

Foreclosure's Aren't Just For The 'Little Guys'

If you think foreclosures only happen in the middle class, $100-250K housing market, think again.

There’s a $19.5 million dollar home located in the very well known Hampton’s that’s gone into foreclosure.Â The home which sits on 4 acres of land features 18,000 square feet, a 5-person elevator, a ‘flower cutting’ room, 8 bedrooms and 9 1/2 bathrooms.

My favorite line from the story is by Jacob Benaroya, president and managing partner of Biltmore Capital Group, a New York-based firm that purchases problem loans from mortgage lenders.Â He said, â€œThese high-end areas were thought to be immune to foreclosuresâ€¦but weâ€™ve now seen that being wealthy doesnâ€™t preclude you from being stupid with your money.â€
